Jubilee Park Minibeast Hunt.

We went on a trip with all the Totara classes.  Our topic this term is minibeasts so we set off to investigate minibeasts and their habitats at Jubilee Park.  It was a hot day, but we found lots of shady places to work at the park.
There were different activities to do such as making a tally chart of all the bugs we could find, a sensory walk, identifying habitats, and investigating the different types of minibeasts.
It was a fun trip.

Off we go!

Room 12 are waiting quietly for the rest of Totara team.

It was a long walk for little legs!

We enjoyed doing our work in the shade!

We took a tally of all the minibeasts we could find.  It was fun to use the magnifying glasses.

Time for lunch.

Look!  Our seedlings have grown so big in their pots.  We decided it was time to plant them in the garden.  Can you guess what the plants are?  We planted two different kinds of vegetables and one kind of herb.  (Hint: the herb has blue flowers that you can eat...)
