Jubilee Park Minibeast Hunt.

We went on a trip with all the Totara classes.  Our topic this term is minibeasts so we set off to investigate minibeasts and their habitats at Jubilee Park.  It was a hot day, but we found lots of shady places to work at the park.
There were different activities to do such as making a tally chart of all the bugs we could find, a sensory walk, identifying habitats, and investigating the different types of minibeasts.
It was a fun trip.

Off we go!

Room 12 are waiting quietly for the rest of Totara team.

It was a long walk for little legs!

Morning Tea.

Identifying different habitats

What have we found?

Minibeast identification

We enjoyed doing our work in the shade!

We took a tally of all the minibeasts we could find.  It was fun to use the magnifying glasses.

Time for lunch.

  7. I like our class room15 because we got to go on the play ground at Claudelands park and we had a mini beast hunt. It was very very fun but when we had to walk from Hamilton East School all the way to Jubilee Bush I was tired when we got to the dairry. I was in Tydre, Regahn, Safwan , Div, Maree and Tydre's mum's group.by Kredenz. Room 15
