We have been investigating the New Zealand Tree weta. We want to create a habitat in the school that will encourage weta to live and breed here. Last year's class planted trees. This year Room 15 have made weta boxes using a plan given to us. We have also made our own designs. Now we are ready to place the weta houses in our bush. We need to find out the best places - do weta like it wet or dry; shady or sunny?
Nau mai, haere mai! Welcome to our class blog with Matua Taki. We are a Year 3/4 class at Hamilton East School. We are part of the Tōtara Team. We will be sharing our learnings and adventures with whānau to enjoy!
