Pūtaiao - Science

We have been practicing to think like scientists in Akomanga 15. In groups, our task was to try and create the longest paper chain with only the equipment Whaea Kiri provided. We had 2 pieces of paper, glue sticks and scissors. We only had 20 minutes!

We had to think of questions such as how thick/thin we should cut the paper, do we cut the paper width or length ways, and even where we should glue the chains together to meet the criteria. This was a really fun activity and was a great way of gathering and interpreting data.

At the end of it, our groups glued all of our paper chains together. It ended up being as long as all of the tamariki in Akomanga 15!
